Five things I forgot to take to GOA

10-16 June, 2016
The very name of Goa, and the idea to be there enthrals one`s mind with ecstasy and moments of fun. After all, it is all about the beguiling sand, bright sun, a green colour pallet that stretches for many miles illustrating the serenity. The pristine Goa welcomes you with a delight, the Portugese culture is much exhibited in the way the houses are built, food delicacies and the people.
We experienced travelling to Goa in Monsoons. Prepared to face the rains, we carried clothes in abundance with personal umbrellas. Taking a chance, we also kept with us sunscreens and other heat resistant lotions, but unconsumed!
Monsoons in Goa embraced us with lush green scenery across the stretches of North and South Goa. Off the five-day stay in Hyatt Place in Goa, we experienced all that we never did before. We went miles away to the farthest beaches in South, almost touching Cochin with Palolim and Colva beach. The beauty of these beaches is partaking. They were splendidly beautiful and placid as you go centre of the sea. The raindrops crashing on your cheeks as you walk over the sands makes you feel rejuvenated. Much for one to think of a siesta!
The topography of Goa is varied, from the silversand the city offers a connect to hilly areas of Maharshtra. We happened to visit Amboli Ghat, which didn`t disappoint us any bit inspite of a dried up waterfall. The extravagance of the place can be best described with the wide stretched roads and huge mountains.
We were during our trip was much equipped with almost everything, however I did feel taking along five more things that could have accomplished by trip to Goa.
# Wide Lens- We carried our Canon D550 DSLR. The range of the camera lens wasn`t wide enough to capture the horizons and lighthouses.
# GPS Navigator- We was on a hired cab all these days. Our journey turned to an escapade when we took multiple wrong turns on secluded areas. Technology fails it when you need the most, the same happen to us. Our GPS apps were stalled with poor network, eventually creating moment of anxiety.
#Leather Jacket- Goa is about fashionable people and vibrancy. We missed all that during Monsoons. Floating Casinos, Nightclubs, Beach Shacks, we were bereft of all these due to monsoons. Nonetheless, posing with a leather jacket and capturing a pic for instagram can cover it for all.
# Bi-Cycle- We matched our steps with the locals over streets. There were many options on the ride on bike to scooty. However, didn`t get option for hiking-bike!
#i-pod: We heard the best of the music on the shacks with Karoke bars and some live performances of the band. However, missed the melody to match our moods with unbridled alcohol.
One trip to Goa can never be suffice to tick the list as “done”. Rest assured we don`t miss Goan monsoon with above “must-have”.
